About Me

I am a wildlife photographer, born in Catania (Italy) and now based in Venice (Italy). Some of my favorite places to photograph wildlife include Scotland, Kenya, South Africa, South East Asia; these landscapes and habitats continually inspire my work.

I am not naturally a patient person,  photography has taught me to slow down and  focus on the details of what surrounds me. Wildlife photography, in particular, has deepened this awareness even further. Animals do not pose, and I am simply an observer. I have to wait, sometimes for the moment I planned but sometimes for the one I could never have imagined.

For me, the true essence of photography is sharing with the viewer the moment I experienced, exactly as I felt it. I keep to minimum digital manipulation wherever possible, to let my subjects retain their natural realism, captured authentically in the moment. Although wildlife is my primary focus, I also enjoy landscape and travel photography. I am equally drawn to creating portraits of people and pets.
